Hug it out

Hi guys! Y’all know that I’m on Instagram right? Well, if you don’t you should totally follow me on there @HopeTowardFuture.

The other day my good friend, Eileen, sent me a post by @holisticbodyandsoul. The name alone is a attention grabber. After exploring their insta-page, I noticed one photo that connected with my spirit immediately. It was a image of two people hugging. Confession time. Showing affection was not really ‘a thing’ in my immediate or extended family. The generation after me are blessed to always hear “I love you’s,” “I miss you’s,” and so much more. I am probably ranting at this point, but as I sit in Parish Morning Bakery compassion seems to stream through me. When was the last time you said “I love you” to your parents, or even to your siblings. More importantly, when was the last time you gave them a hug? Vishen Lakhiani once said, “our lives are not solely about us, but rather the people we effect.”

I challenge you today to hug the next person see, and hang on a little longer than they expect and see what comes of it.

Check out my next blog for strategies of manifesting ones best self.
